LAMU COUNTY: Six police officers killed, three injured and two missing after their truck ran over an improvised explosive device (IED) in Lamu. The lorry was carrying officers from the Rapid Deployment Unit when it drove over the IED. The area is regarded dangerous as it has many Al Shabaab militants. The standard Newspaper. GARISA COUNTY: A soldier (KDF) was killed and six of his colleagues injured on Monday, 23/11/2015, morning after their vehicle hit an explosive device in Hulugho. Sub-County Commissioner said the soldiers were in a convoy when their vehicle hit the improvised explosive suspected to have been planted by Al-Shabaab, about six kilometres from Hulugho Town. MANDERA COUNTY: A driver was injured on Wednesday (5/11/2014) morning in Mandera town after an explosive device planted on the road under construction went off. Police Commander confirmed the incident saying the driver was working on the Rhamu-Mandera road in the centre of the town when the vehicle ran over explosive device buried in the graded road.
